Garam Masala Black Bean & Sweet Potato Patties


165gr. black beans cooked,
45 gr. quinoa cooked,
1 small onion or leek finely chopped,
225 gr. sweet potato puree,
1 tbsp garam masala mix ( see recipe below),
1/2 tsp salt and pepper

Garam masala:
1/2 tsp fennel seed,
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper,
1/4 tsp ginger powder,
1/4 tsp cardamom,
1/4 tsp garlic powder,
1/2 tsp mustard powder,
1/2 tsp turmeric,
1/2 tsp coriander,
1/2 tsp red pepper.

For the sauce:
3 tbsp tahini,
1 tbsp macadamia oil,
1 lemon juice,
A pinch of salt,
3-4 tbsp water ( for the desired consistency)
Serve sauce with cutted spiral carrot and cucumbers if desired. Sprinkle over the pepitas.


1. Mix all garam masala ingredients in a food processor. Set aside.

2. Place all ingredients in a food processor, add garam masala.  Mix on high speed until get patty mixture.

3. Take a patty pieces using a spoon. Place them onto the baking sheet.

4. Preheat oven to 200 degrees, bake for 30-35 minutes or until get crispy.

5. In a small pan, mix sauce ingredients. Pour over the vegetables and patties. Serve warm!
